Essential idea: Motion may be described and analysed by the use of graphs and equations
Understandings: Distance and displacement; Speed and velocity; Acceleration
Applications and skills: Solve problems using equations of motion for uniform acceleration

The IB DP Physics course does NOT have a dependency on Calculus. You should not need to use calculus in any DP Physics exams (although it might make a question easier to answer, and nothing stops you using it in IA analysis). However, most Mathematics students will cover calculus, and use motion as an example. Additionally, for anyone even vaguely thinking of going on to do maths, physics or engineering courses at university this is really a must. So I recommend these videos:
Oxford Physics: pages 31 - 38, including graphs which I will get into more next class.
Hamper HL (2014): pages 41 - 45 including exercises 5-7 (p 43) and 8-10 (p 44)
Hamper SL (2014): pages 41 - 45 including exercises 5-7 (p 43) and 8-10 (p 44)
pages 43 - 49
